Listen Up is committed to protecting your personal data. This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights under the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018.

 

1. Who We Are

Listen Up is a sole trader listening coaching business based in Hampshire, UK. For data protection purposes, we are the data controller. You can contact us at: edward@listenupcoach.com

 

2. What Data We Collect

a) Listening Assessment (Typeform)

When you complete our Listening Assessment, we collect:

  • Your email address

  • Your answers to the assessment questions

  • Any additional information you voluntarily provide in the form

This data is collected via Typeform, a third-party tool. Please also review Typeform's own Privacy Policy at www.typeform.com/privacy-policy.

b) Contact Form

When you use our contact form, we collect:

  • Your name

  • Your email address

  • The content of your message

c) Website Usage Data

We may collect basic analytics data (such as pages visited and approximate location) through our website platform. This data is aggregated and does not identify you personally.

 

3. How We Use Your Data

We use the data we collect for the following purposes:

  • To respond to your enquiries and messages

  • To contact you following your completion of the Listening Assessment, with information relevant to your results

  • To send you information about our coaching services where you have expressed interest

  • To improve our website and the user experience

 

4. Legal Basis for Processing

We process your personal data on the following legal grounds under UK GDPR:

  • Legitimate interests: to respond to enquiries and follow up on assessment completions, where we have a legitimate business interest to do so

  • Consent: where you have actively opted in or submitted your information to us

You have the right to object to processing based on legitimate interests at any time. Please see Section 8 for how to exercise your rights.

 

5. Third Parties

We share your data with the following third parties, only where necessary:

  • Typeform: to deliver our Listening Assessment and store form responses. Typeform processes data in accordance with UK GDPR. See their privacy policy for details.

We do not sell your personal data to any third parties, and we do not share it for marketing purposes without your consent.

 

6. Data Retention

We retain your personal data for as long as is necessary for the purpose it was collected. In practice, this means we will hold your data for as long as there is an active enquiry or coaching relationship, and for up to 12 months thereafter — or until you request deletion, whichever comes sooner.

You may request deletion of your data at any time by contacting us at edward@listenupcoach.com. Upon receipt of a valid request, we will delete or anonymise your data within 30 days, except where we are legally required to retain it.

 

7. Data Security

We take reasonable steps to protect your personal data from unauthorised access, loss, or misuse. Data is stored securely through the platforms we use (such as Typeform). However, no method of electronic transmission is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

 

8. Your Rights

Under UK GDPR, you have the following rights:

  • Right of access: to request a copy of the personal data we hold about you

  • Right to rectification: to ask us to correct inaccurate data

  • Right to erasure: to request deletion of your personal data

  • Right to restrict processing: to ask us to limit how we use your data
