I've heard what listening can do

In hundreds of real conversations where the quality of listening was the thing that mattered most

Hello, I'm Ed

I trained as a listening volunteer with Samaritans, and I've spent hundreds of hours in conversations where the quality of listening genuinely matters. That training changed how I understood every conversation I'd ever had, at work, at home, everywhere.

It made me realise how rarely we experience true listening in everyday life, and how little we are taught about how to actually listen. But what struck me most was how learnable it all was. Being a good listener isn't a personality type, and it isn't something you're born with. It comes from specific, practical skills that can be taught to anyone.

I now teach professionals those same skills: how to catch what's actually being said, ask the questions that unlock understanding, and to listen in a way people can feel.

Mission

My mission is to empower people to truly listen and be heard. I see a world where listening is recognised as an essential human skill - not just for leaders or professionals, but for everyone.

Whether in boardrooms or living rooms, listening has the power to radically transform lives. When we master the art of truly listening it has the power to transform how people connect with and influence those around them.

Start with a conversation

Listening is a skill. And like any skill, it can be measured, improved, and mastered. In just 2 minutes, you can discover exactly where your listening skills stand - and what's holding you back from deeper connections and greater influence.
